This Privacy Policy explains how Detepo (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the Detepo mobile application (the “App”). This policy applies specifically to the App and is separate from the privacy policy of our website and online store.

The App is a visitor analytics tool that lets you view real-time visitor counts, insights and device status for the counters linked to your account.

Information we collect

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to provide the App’s functionality:

• Account information. When you log in, you provide your email address and password. These are used solely to authenticate you and connect the App to your account on our servers.
• Visitor and device data. The App retrieves visitor counts, occupancy, trends and counter status (such as battery level, online status and Wi-Fi signal) associated with your account. This data relates to your counters and locations, not to identifiable individuals.
• Device information for setup. When you add a new counter, the App uses Bluetooth to communicate with the counter in order to configure its Wi-Fi and server settings. This communication happens locally between your phone and the counter.
• Locally stored data. Authentication tokens, your account details and your notification preferences are stored locally on your device so you stay signed in and your settings are remembered.

Push notifications

With your permission, the App sends you local push notifications about events that matter to you — for example a low counter battery, a counter going offline, a weak Wi-Fi signal, or a battery that has finished charging. These notifications are generated by the App on your device. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

How we use information

• To authenticate you and keep you securely signed in.
• To display your visitor counts, insights and counter status.
• To let you add and manage counters and locations.
• To alert you about relevant counter events via notifications.

How information is shared

Your data is processed through our own servers in order to provide the service. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may disclose information where required to comply with applicable law or a valid legal request.

Data retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at the address below. Data stored locally on your device is removed when you log out or uninstall the App.

Your rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to access, correct, transfer or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the details below.

Children

The App is intended for business use and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The “Last updated” date above will indicate the most recent revision.
